Achievement for All Quality Mark
Achievement for All is a national charity which focusses on transforming the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people, and their families, by raising educational aspirations, access, and achievement. The aims of Achievement For All are completely in line with Team Ernehale’s views and ethos, and have provided a framework which has allowed us to move forward and continually develop our practice, resulting in the best possible education for all.
The charity has worked alongside Team Ernehale to ensure we provide a safe, understanding, and encouraging environment where all children are supported to flourish and achieve their full potential. We recognise the most powerful form of education comes from parents, carers, children and teachers working as a team, ensuring that children are fully involved in school life. We have achieved this by engaging with parents and pupils, and valuing the wealth of knowledge they have to offer. The quality mark recognises the fact that our school is working to a high standard, using the very best practice to ensure our students reach their full potential.

360 Degree Safe E-Safety Mark
We gained the E Safety Mark in recognition of our practices, policies and procedures around Internet safety. Safeguarding in today’s digital world has been a key focus at Ernehale Junior School for some time, so we are delighted that this has been recognised with this award.

We gained this internationally recognised accreditation by forging links with partners overseas and adding an international dimension to our curriculum. By working on joint projects and adding international elements to lessons, pupils (and teachers) we were given a fresh perspective on the world and our place in it.

Our Other Main Awards
Investors in Pupils
At Ernehale, we believe that it is important that pupils see they can make a difference. The Investors in Pupils award builds on the principles of Investors in People, and at its heart is pupil voice and pupil participation, a perfect fit for Team Ernehale.
Whilst working towards the award, pupils were encouraged to find out about the school, the jobs of everyone in it and also that the school has a budget. Pupils were supported to set targets for the class and for themselves and encouraged to recognise the importance of the roles and responsibilities of everyonte involved in their education, and how they as pupils can make a difference.
Healthy Schools Status – Gold Award
We are proud to announce that Team Ernehale have achieved Gold Healthy Schools Status! Healthy Schools supports the link between good health, behaviour and achievement through a whole school approach. It offers close support and guidance to schools, primary care trusts and local authorities, and equips children and young people with the skills and knowledge to make informed health and life choices and to reach their full potential.

Stonewall Champion
Stonewall works with primary schools all over the country to support them to celebrate difference and tackle homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying. We’ve seen the incredible impact schools can have when they are very clear that every young person should be included and welcomed, whoever they are.
Sing Up – Platinum Award
We love singing here at Ernehale as we believe it improves learning, confidence, health and social development. Further to this, Team Ernehale were the second school in Nottinghamshire to achieve the Sing Up Platinum award!
The Platinum Award is by nomination only and can only be achieved by schools that:
Sustain development and extend participation in singing to the wider school community
Commit to become a learning community; embracing the richness of diversity to develop quality singing activities
Commit to extending and developing the quality of vocal leadership and singing in and outside of school and with the wider school community
Have an outward focus, inspiring and sharing their singing ethos
Please take a look at our diary dates as there are plenty of opportunities for parents and carers to see our singing in action.

Fairtrade School Award
Ernehale are proud to have won the status of being a Fair Trade School Award.
Becoming a Fairtrade School means joining a worldwide movement – a movement where young people learn that, whatever their age, they have the power to make a difference in the world.
It offers a great opportunity to look at global issues such as where our food comes from and how we are connected to people around the world.
